A fascinating thing about Second Life is in exploring different shapes, and coming up with AVIs -- various features and figures that constitute beauty.

An interesting article posted at http://majorityrights.com/index.php/weblog/comments/the_facial_proportions_of_beautiful_people/
tries to describe the facial proportions of beautiful people.

The article itself draws heavily upon the Marquardt beauty analysis http://www.beautyanalysis.com/ which even has a wire meshed mask of the perfect face.  The closer your features are to fitting this Marquardt mask, the closer to facial perfection you are.

The article touches briefly on the "Golden ratio" which is 1.61803399.

It is used everywhere as a magical proportion.  The article itself is a bit racist but setting that aside here is what the ideal proportions apparently are:

A common thing about models though is that the most beautiful faces often make the worst models.  They tend to be forgettable.

Running late on time, so I'll end the post here.  I might amend more later on.
