CWS Creative Angel Styling

Ok today's styling was "Creative Angel" and I didn't think I would participate today since I didn't do any preparation and since I was working up until about 1 hour before the show. But since I had the opportunity to I decided to join.

I used to be quite into Angels, so I know a bit about the subject. I always equated the stereotypical depiction of Angels to the story of Eros and Psyche, with Eros (aka Cupid) being the inspiration for the depiction of angels as winged beautiful men. It's so symbolic since Eros/Cupid = Love and Psyche = Soul. Love and Soul under unison, sundered under mistrust, and reunited through great labour. The butterfly which is said to be the incarnation of the soul represents Psyche and that's probably why I like butterflies so much.

Soon afterwards, within the darkness of her home, Psyche stood beside her sleeping husband with a lighted candle in one hand and a knife in another. As she held the candle high above him, rapture filled her heart as she saw that her husband was not a hideous serpent, but rather the strikingly beautiful god of love, Cupid. As she bent to be closer to her husband, a drop of hot wax fell upon Cupid's shoulder and wakened him. When he saw his wife standing above him, his belief that she had been unfaithful caused him to flee their home, crying, "Love cannot live where there is no trust."

The William Bouguereau pictures you see are beautiful to me. They are snapshots of the story of Cupid and Psyche which I find to be lovely. Here is a critic who shares my opinion and who sounds so much smarter than me in describing it:

Anyways without going into Zoroastrian, or Enochian script it is sufficient to say that a "Creative Angel" has a lot of interesting possibilities. For example a Cherubim might be depicted a chubby baby winged cupid, or a four winged angel with eyes all around.

Well I went with a costume that I had from a long time ago.

In the end I came in third place.  I'm happy about that since I wasn't very creative:  Here are the winners:

Winners:Amy-
Christine
 Warcliffe
2nd: Sid Kormann
3rd:Tiffani Celestalis

Yes that's me on the right bathed in light.  Lol.  We took off our wings because they were hiding us three.  Shaders.. pfft.  Anyways there were so many people who were very creative and could have won.

Tomorrow will be super crowded with this months students required to participate in the styling.  Cool styling though called "Creative Egyptian".  I suspect most will go for the Cleopatra, Pharoah looks.

I feel I have so much more to say tonight.  Anyways I'll stop at this point.  Music.. okay first thing that comes to mind is..
